Storeroom Solutions, Inc. (SSI) is an established
company at the forefront of a new industry that is experiencing
rapidly growing customer acceptance. Top management in large industrial
facilities is struggling with the major issue of how to increase
plant uptime, and thereby increase asset productivity. Coupled with
this issue is the concern of how to shift their culture to preventive
maintenance (fix it before it breaks) from corrective maintenance
(fix it after it breaks). SSI provides a comprehensive service to
manage in-plant repair parts inventory, typically called Maintenance,
Repair and Operating (MRO) supplies. A large industrial facility
will keep on-hand, in the plant, a supply of critical parts (e.g.
bearings or belts) so that if a machine failure occurs, the plant
can repair the machine quickly, and keep producing their product.
While these parts and their availability are critical to the uptime
of the facility, plant management often view them as a liability,
and an area where the opportunities to improve are substantial.
Storeroom Solutions adds value to its customers operation
in many ways, but primarily by managing MRO materials effectively
with high availability. This has a direct effect on maintenance
labor productivity and plant uptime. It also adds value by reducing
the total cost of ownership of their inventory of MRO materials.
Savings result from their ability to purchase the same items for
a lower price, typically 20-30% lower. SSIs services include
the procurement, receipt and issue of MRO supplies, as well as the
inventory management and ownership of those supplies.
Since 1982, we have been helping growing companies
expand their credit facilities to provide capital for growth,
lower their weighted average cost of capital, and avoid
premature ownership dilution. We have considerable
experience with companies involved with transportation,
warehousing and distribution, supply chain management,
and related information technology.
